Did M&M exponential growth and decay activity with the Algebra 2 and the Topics of Math classes. Used TI for regression in Algebra 2 (ugh), and Desmos in Topics of Math (yay!). As a tweak, I was curious what would happen if chocolate chips were used instead of M&M’s so the growth rate would be different (seeing if the chocolate chip landed on the flat side). It was! Instead of a 50% growth/decay rate, it was about 20%. Totally will give the students a choice in Algebra 2 as well.
